Trip description

Location information
Hluboka Castle is a picturesque castle located in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It was originally built as a Gothic castle in the 13th century, but underwent several renovations and expansions over the centuries. The most significant renovation was carried out in the 19th century, during which the castle was transformed into a romantic chateau in the style of Windsor Castle in England.

During World War II, the castle was seized by the Nazis and used as a training center for SS officers. After the war, the castle was nationalized by the Czechoslovak government and became a national monument.

Today, visitors can take tours of the castle's interior and learn about its history and architecture. The castle also hosts various cultural events throughout the year, including concerts and exhibitions.
