A half-day trip to the Koněpruské Caves in the Central Bohemian Region, near the capital city of Prague, begins with a pick-up at your chosen address in Prague or its surrounding area by a spacious and air-conditioned car with a friendly English-speaking driver. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes, during which you will see beautiful views of the local countryside and small villages you will pass through. You can learn a lot of interesting facts about the history, life, and facts in the Czech Republic from your local driver.

Upon arrival, your driver will explain where to go, what not to miss, advise on where to eat well (in case we don't have a private guide), and agree on where to meet on the way back. Upon arrival at the parking lot, you will walk up a steep hill for about 400m, where there will be an information booth with a ticket booth. After purchasing a ticket, you will move approximately 200m to the entrance of the caves. Beyond the turnstile, the path leads up a staircase in the rock face of the former Houbov quarry, from which this part of the caves was discovered in 1951, and which is now traversed by the Golden Horse nature trail. From the staircase, there is a view of the Čertovy schody quarry. The tour circuit takes 50-60 minutes, and the entrance fee per person is 210 CZK.

You will then meet up with your driver and head back home.

Trip description

Location information
Koněprusy caves are one of the most beautiful and extensive karst caves in the Czech Republic. They are located near the town of Beroun and are a significant tourist attraction. Visitors can explore many stunning underground spaces and admire beautiful formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstones. The cave system consists of several large halls interconnected by a network of corridors. Most of the halls and corridors are well-lit, which allows visitors to see all the details and colorful shades of the underground world.

During a visit to the Koněpruské jeskyně, visitors can also see several unique formations such as the "Rabbit" - a strangely shaped formation resembling a rabbit figure. Another interesting attraction is the "Lake," a small lake in the middle of one of the halls. Visitors can also see the "Camel," a formation resembling this animal figure. The total length of the cave corridors is about 2 km, of which only a part is accessible to tourists during the guided tour.
